Who we are
MyCouponBag (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website https://mycouponbag.com and the MyCouponBag mobile app (Android). We help you collect, organise, and use coupons in one place.
Data we collect
We collect information necessary to provide and improve our service:
- Account data: Email address, display name, and authentication details (e.g. via Supabase).
- Coupon data: Coupon codes, merchant name, description, expiry date, and optionally image URL and redemption (“Shop now”) link that you add or that we extract from forwarded emails.
- Push notifications: FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token so we can send you notifications (e.g. “Coupon from [Merchant] added”, expiry reminders) if you enable them.
- Usage data: How you use the app (e.g. features used, interactions) to provide the service, fix issues, and improve the product.
How we use your data
We use the data to:
- Provide and maintain the app (coupons, forward-to-email, Discover, reminders).
- Send you in-app and optional push notifications (e.g. coupon added from email, expiry reminder).
- Improve the product and support you (e.g. customer support, troubleshooting).
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and database (account and coupon data).
- Mailgun — to receive and process emails you forward to your private coupon address (e.g. user_xxx@cp.mycouponbag.com).
- Firebase (FCM) — to send push notifications when you register a device token.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g. transaction records). If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data in line with our retention policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Request a copy of your data (data portability).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.

Delete your account and data
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain information.
How to request deletion: Send an email from the address registered to your MyCouponBag account to support@mycouponbag.com with the subject line “Account and data deletion request” (or clearly state in the message that you wish to delete your account and have your personal data erased). Including your registered email in the body helps us verify your identity.
We will confirm receipt and may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request comes from you. We will process verified requests without undue delay and within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically within 30 days, unless a longer period is permitted and we inform you).
What happens when we delete your data: We will delete or anonymise your personal data associated with your account, including account details and coupon data stored in our systems, except where we must retain certain information to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked to you may be retained.
If you use in-app account deletion when available, that flow may apply instead; you can still contact us at the email above if you need help or prefer to request deletion by email.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Tawk.to Live Chat — We use Tawk.to to offer live chat support on our website and in the app. Tawk.to may collect chat content, device/browser details, IP address, and information you share in chat. It is used only to assist you and improve support. See Tawk.to Privacy Policy.
Coupon content and user responsibility
MyCouponBag provides a platform for you to store, organise, and use coupons. We do not create, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, validity, eligibility, or applicability of any coupon, code, or offer that you add, that is extracted from your emails, or that you obtain from Discover or any other source.
All responsibility for the coupons in your bag lies solely with you. You are responsible for ensuring that any coupon you add or use is valid, used in accordance with the merchant’s or issuer’s terms, and that you have the right to use it. We are not responsible for expired, invalid, or misapplied coupons; for any loss, dispute, or refusal of a merchant to honour a code; or for any other consequence of your use of coupons. Use of the service does not create any liability on our part in respect of coupon content or redemption.
Children’s privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us at support@mycouponbag.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Significant changes may also be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
